LEAD FRONT END DEVELOPER (FLEX/FLASH/AJAX)

Applied Minds, Inc. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Applied_Minds) is starting a new personal video start up. We're looking for the right person to lead all things front end for this exciting new opportunity. You will be responsible for the overall execution of what must be first-class user interfaces, facilitating design and UX implementation/optimization on both desktop and mobile platforms. You are a solid developer and deliver high-performance, high-quality experiences while collaborating or leading others as needed.
You and our Software Architect/Lead Developer will be responsible for implementing the application from prototype to production. If you thrive in a fast-paced, challenging startup environment, where you'll be constantly exposed to creative new ideas and brilliant people, then we've got the perfect opportunity for you. We're looking for a skillset that complements those of other team members and will serve to get us to production as rapidly as possible, but the technology stack is not set in stone. If you think you've got the skills, we want to hear from you, regardless of your preferred platform.
REQUIRED:
- 4+ years UI development in Flash/Flex, DHTML/Javascript/CSS, AJAX
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of design, UI/UX
- Expert front end scripting skills in ActionScript or JavaScript/CSS
- Knowledge of common design patterns and MVC architecture self-motivated and responsible
- Proven history of implementing successful interfaces from concept to production.
- Experience working on a team of developers
PREFERRED:
- Experience with media serving/streaming
- Knowledge of web analytics, marketing standards
- Experience leading/building a UI/website development team
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc)
- Knowledge of ANY backend technology - Java, PHP, .NET, Rails
- Basic Linux/Unix operation
- Understanding of web services concepts and implementation (SOAP, REST, etc)
